Three Named as Finalists for Young Sports Star Award

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the 2025 Young Sports Star of the Year award.
These three athletes have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the last year.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a historic innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The finalists were announced live on a widely-listened-to radio show.
The 2025 recipient will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.
The ceremony will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.
Michelle Agyemang
Age: 19 Sport: Football
A mere three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
Luke Littler
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
And he wasn't finished there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Being nominated for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a highlight for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin finished second in the batting rankings and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
