The Blues head coach Enzo Maresca stated on Friday that Cole Palmer is set to return for the team's significant top-flight match against London rivals Arsenal.

The young English international had been sidelined due to a fractured toe sustained after an unfortunate occurrence.

“He is available to start and to play,” Maresca declared. “Everyone is happy.”

This season, Palmer has been limited to four outings in all tournaments, finding the net on two occasions.

After joining from City in the previous year, he has notched 45 scores and 29 helpers in 101 matches for the London club.

Everton were unsuccessful in their appeal against Idrissa Gueye's sending off for an on-field altercation with teammate Michael Keane during the squad's single-goal triumph at Old Trafford.

The 36-year-old Senegalese player was shown a red card just early on into the match after hitting Keane during a disagreement over a poor pass.

The player immediately apologized, and the teammates were seen reconciled afterwards in a mock online video.

However, the appeal against the red card was rejected, and Gueye must complete a three-match suspension, leaving Everton depleted for their next match against Newcastle United.

“We challenged the decision and it was rejected,” manager David Moyes said. “We received no rationale for the denial but we did appeal it.”

When asked about any further fallout from the event, Moyes added: “It ended right away, it was done, that was it, we moved on quite quickly and it was all sorted within the dressing room.”

3. Yoane Wissa Practices with Newcastle for First Time since Injury

The club's new signing Yoane Wissa has practiced with his new teammates for the first time since sustaining a knee problem shortly after his move from Brentford in the autumn.

“It’s comparable to back pain, but a morning sort of injury, one where you just sleep funny or move improperly. So we’re not expecting, at this stage anyway, that it’s too serious and it’s easing already. So we’re hopeful that it’ll be right for the weekend.”

The defender was feeling his hamstring after the 3-0 European victory, but Dyche said the player “will likely be available”.

Meanwhile, Ola Aina (thigh injury), Douglas Luiz (thigh), Dilane Bakwa (hamstring), the striker (knee), and Oleksandr Zinchenko (hip) are expected to be unavailable.
