The UK is ready to advance with using the total value of immobilized Russian funds to aid Ukraine's defense operations, PM Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a joint statement, the heads of state of the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany stated that this joint measure would increase strain on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and persuade the Russian Federation to participate in talks.

They added that the move would be executed in strong partnership with the United States.

UK restrictions have immobilized over £25bn of Russian funds since Russia initiated its widespread offensive against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. However, up to this point, funds provided to Ukraine using Russian funds had solely been taken from profits and interest accrued on them.

Sir Keir told President Volodymyr Zelensky that the UK, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany were united in their aim to push forward toward utilizing the complete amount of the frozen Russia's state holdings to halt hostilities.

He stated that more restrictions in the coming days and weeks would apply more pressure on Moscow.

This statement is subsequent to European Union leaders gathered in Copenhagen recently to consider utilizing seized Russia's assets for a €140 billion financial aid to Ukraine.

Last month, American leader Donald Trump urged G7 allies to take or utilize frozen Russia's assets, according to news outlets.

The Russian government carried out extensive missile and drone strikes across the Ukrainian territory on recently, resulting in blackouts in many areas of the capital city, the city, and several other zones.
